FORTHCOMING GUESTS:

JUNE 1ST – ISAMBARDE
(http://isambarde.co.uk/)

Isambarde’s music is a powerful blend of traditional and contemporary
folk songs.  To quote Phil Beer: “they are a folk band with tremendous
energy and enthusiasm. They are the unusual and winning combination of
Chris Green's driving guitar, Emily Sanders’ incisive fiddle playing
and Jude Rees’ lyrical oboe coupled with great full on vocal
harmonies.  They play a great set. … Book 'em!”  So we did!!

JUNE 8TH – DAVE BURLAND
(http://www.daveburland.com/index.htm)

Dave Burland is a singer and guitar player who first worked as a
professional folk musician in 1968.  Over the years he has travelled
widely and worked with many well-known artists such as Kate Rusby, Nic
Jones and Richard Thompson.  He makes singing and guitar playing both
seem quite effortless and has a deliciously wicked sense of humour.
It was an excellent evening on his last visit to Dartford.

JUNE 15TH – JERRY DONAHUE (USA) & DOUG MORTER
(http://rockartistmanagement.com/page/donahue_and_morter)

Jerry Donahue, "The guitarist's guitarist", has played in Fotheringay
and Fairport and with artistes as varied as Joan Armatrading, Elton
John, The Beach Boys and Roy Orbison.  He mixes the Celtic music of
his adopted UK home with his American rock, blues and country roots in
his own unique style.  Doug Morter has played in Albion Band and Magna
Carta.  He has worked with David Bowie, Richard Digance, Ralph McTell,
Richard Thompson et al.  This is a rare chance to see them perform
together.

JUNE 22ND – KERR FAGAN HARBRON
(http://www.kerrfaganharbron.co.uk/)

Nancy Kerr and James Fagan are well known to Dartford regulars for
Nancy’s exquisite fiddle playing, the rhythmic texture of James’s
guitar-bouzouki and their rich singing of Anglo-Australian songs.
Their new collaboration with concertina player Robert Harbron has
gained critical acclaim for their performances and their CD, Station
House: "Rob's masterful playing adds another dimension to one of the
best duos on both sides of the world.  Bloody marvellous."  Come and
enjoy!

JUNE 29TH – MY SWEET PATOOTIE (CANADA)

If you remember Canadian folk group Tanglefoot then you’ll not want to
miss this one.  Terry Young (guitar & vocals) and Sandra Swannell
(fiddle & vocals) were both members and, following its demise, joined
together in My Sweet Patootie.  While their new sound is a complete
departure from Tanglefoot, Terry and Sandra’s stage show is packed
with the same energy, charm, wit and humour.
