MyBlogLog?
Yesterday, rumors surfaced around Yahoo!’s imminent shutdown of its MyBlogLog service. Frankly, it’s no secret within Yahoo! that we’re actively discussing the future of MyBlogLog. However, it’s also true that we have not made any final decisions at this point. Is a shutdown on the table? Sure, that’s an option. But there are other options as well. We know this creates some uncertainty for current MyBlogLog users. While we aren't quite ready to share more details, we promise to keep you posted.

Well this is a terrible shame indeed if mybloglog is to be closed down. The system still has loads of potential as a nifty networking platform and I partocularly like the pro version of the stats package for giving realtime updates of any developing traffic situations. Admittedly I don't use the widget which displays the faces of blog visitors anymore, since some visitors apparently find it slightly disconcerting to see the echo of their own visit displayed for all to see.
If yahoo! don't know how to develop mybloglog and reget buying it in the first place then why not sell it on so that somebody else can do something with it?
